After stumbling on the group on Facebook about breast implant illness, I definitely related to the symptoms that were listed. Having breast implants for over 14 years and just feeling terrible and I knew it was time for me to take them out. I did a lot of research and I knew I wanted a surgeon who knew what they were doing!! I found Dr. Sayed on the recommended list of doctors who knew about breast implant illness and how to do the removal surgery. I met with Dr. Sayed at the beginning of this year at his La Jolla office. After spending about 1 1/2 - 2 hours with Dr. Sayed he answered all my questions and he gave me tons of information that I didn't even think to ask! I had a gut feeling that this is where I needed to be and he was the right surgeon for me! I put my deposit down that day and received my surgery date. My surgery date was in late March and the day of my surgery I was nervous since my husband couldn't be there with me. As soon as I walked back, Dr. Sayed surgery center staff were truly amazing!! They all made me feel very comfortable!! Dr. Sayed was truly amazing too, he was very patient and kind with me before surgery!! I knew I was in great hands with him My surgery went very well! Dr. Sayed did a follow up with me later that afternoon which was nice. He takes photos and videos during surgery which is amazing!! I had many follow ups in person with Dr. Sayed to check on my scars and healing! I am 8 months PO and feeling fantastic and healing great!! If you're looking for a great surgeon who knows what he's doing and what he's talking about Dr. Sayed is your guy!! I highly recommend him!! I’m 8 weeks post op from explant and lift and couldn’t be happier that I chose Dr. Tim Sayed as my surgeon. I had another consult before my consult with him and one scheduled for after we spoke, but I knew I wanted him to be my surgeon when I met him. I scheduled my surgery the same day as my consultation. For a decade I was terrified of choosing a surgeon and scared of the surgery so I ignored it until I couldn’t. Dr. Tim Sayed made the process easy and to be comfortable with him. Surgery day was peaceful. Once I arrived at the facility and spoke with him I had no questions or worries. I wish I knew him years ago. I had my first set of implants 15 years ago and received my second set of implants 3 years ago after having a single mastectomy due to breast cancer. When I discovered the breast implant illness group and associated website so many of my mysterious symptoms/illnesses seemed to make sense. I also discovered (not having been told by my previous surgeons) that implants are not lifetime devices and need to be replaced every 10 -15 years. I decided that I did not want to keep going under anesthesia every 10 years or so and if removing them could add quality to my life (I'm only 46) having them removed was worth it. Finding a surgeon that had the experience, confidence and care needed for my situation was not easy. Dr. Sayed was the fourth surgeon I met with in the San Diego area and the only one who met all of my needs. He and his staff are kind, caring and skilled. Even knowing that I had already had several consults, he explained the full process to me as though it were my first, which really put me at ease with his level of knowledge and skill. I am 3 months post-op and I am very happy with my decision to have my surgery with Dr. Sayed. The procedure itself went smoothly and recovery has been fairly easy. Dr. Sayed is truly a skilled surgeon and I highly recommend him.

I didn't do my homework when researching surgeons for implants, so I made sure NOT to make the same mistake when getting these implants out. All the glowing reviews on Dr. Sayed from the Breast Implant Illness and Healing by Nicole Facebook group (along with the fact that he was on Nicole's explant recommendation list) made it a no-brainer that he was my guy. My consultation with him sealed the deal. He takes patient concerns with BII seriously, is very informative, spends the time you need to get your questions answered, and he is honest about how your results will be and what to expect. Then came surgery. He got everything out! En bloc was a success and he was very meticulous about getting everything out. He also called me a couple of hours after surgery to make sure I was ok. I am so very pleased with Dr. Sayed, to say the least. He is a skilled, caring, smart surgeon who is passionate about what he does and is great with people. I never doubted that I was in good hands and I was correct in my assessment.
