Maakan Taghizadeh,
Dr. Maakan Taghizadeh fondly known as “Dr. Tag”, was born in Baltimore, MD where he attended Gilman School. He then graduated Cum Laude from James Madison University where he was a Division I wrestler. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. He then went on to complete his extensive training in general surgery and plastic surgery at the Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio where he was awarded with the prestigious intern of the year award. He returned to Baltimore to complete a fellowship in Breast, Microsurgical, and Aesthetic Surgery at Mercy Medical Center under the renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeons, Drs. Bernard Chang, Brendan Collins, and Craig Vander Kolk.
