Dr. Petroff has dedicated his career to providing natural-looking facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Your choice of surgeon really does matter. Dr. Petroff has studied with some of the top facial plastic surgeons in the world, has over 25 years as a specialist in the field, and an artistic sensibility. He has a particular talent in the profession that is only matched by his passion for his work. SURGON DESCRIPTION

Dr. Mark A. Petroff has dedicated his career to facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as non-surgical procedures. As an accomplished potter with a keen interest in design and architecture, he combines the eye of an artist with the skill of a highly trained physician. This particular aesthetic sensibility allows him to expertly evaluate the anatomy of the face and determine the best procedures to give his patients the natural, rejuvenated look they hope for. His goal is always to keep his results so seamless and natural that his work is virtually undetectable. What his patients hear from friends is usually, “You look amazing. You must be taking great care of yourself!”

While Dr. Petroff has been in practice for over 25 years, it’s important to him to stay at the forefront of advances in his field. A proud native of Oregon, he studied at the University of Oregon and received his MD at Oregon Health Sciences University.

He completed his surgical residency at Stanford Medical Center and was awarded one of the most coveted fellowships in the country at the McCollough Plastic Surgery Clinic in Birmingham, Alabama under the direction of E. Gaylon McCollough, MD, FACS and the late Jack R. Anderson, MD – both renowned experts in the Facial Plastic Surgery field.

Certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Petroff also holds a certification from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) – a distinction awarded only to a few surgeons who have met rigorous standards. These include prior certification by the American Board of Medical Specialties, successful completion of additional examinations, peer review of past clinical experience and facial surgery operative reports, and adherence to the ABFPRS Code of Ethics.

Dr. Petroff is also a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Oregon Medical Association, and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

In his spare time, Dr. Petroff enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and two labradoodles. He is active and athletic in multiple hobbies, such as water and snow skiing, golf, and tennis. If he weren’t a Facial Plastic Surgeon, he would probably be an architect.
