Dr. Silverton is a native of England, where he attended Eton College and St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College. He trained as a plastic surgeon at the acclaimed Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland, before relocating to the United States in 1975 to train at Emory University. Since that time, Dr. Silverton served as an assistant professor in the department of plastic surgery at UC Davis. He opened his private practice in Stockton in 1979. He became chief of surgery at Dameron Hospital for six years. Dr. Silverton has authored numerous publications, including scientific papers and a plastic surgery textbook.
