The Limited Incision Face Lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure performed in order to tighten and shape the face of an individual to provide for a more youthful appearance. The surgery differs from Traditional Facelift Surgery in that the cuts are smaller and less invasive. Both surgical facelift procedures are intended to provide the same results. Limited Incision facelifts are not recommended for patients who wish to tighten a large amount of skin in the facial area. The procedure is performed by removing excess skin from the face and reshaping and tightening deeper muscle and facial tissue below the skin itself.
The surgery itself can take anywhere from 2-4 hours and prices range from $5,000-$20,000 in general. It is recommended that a patient be in good health and a non smoker in order to receive a facelift. Since the procedure is a major surgery, recovery time is long and arduous taking up to 2 weeks before a patient can even return to work.
